Around The World In 80 Days - San Jose Repertory
Kurt Landisman is an accomplished Theatrical Lighting Designer, with credits spanning the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as Regional and International venues.  Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, his credits include productions at San Jose Rep, Marin Theatre Co., Center Rep, Aurora Theatre and all the larger Bay Area Theatres.   Mr. Landisman’s opera credits include productions for San Francisco Opera, Spoleto Festival, Virginia Opera, Minnesota Opera, Tulsa Opera, Knoxville Opera, Hawaii Opera Theatre, and Los Angeles Opera.  His theatre credits also include the world premieres of Sam Shepard’s plays “True West” and “Fool For Love” which ran Off Broadway for more than 2 years, and was also produced in Singapore and Tokyo.  His credits include productions for American Conservatory Theatre, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Arizona Theatre Company, Laguna Playhouse and the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival. He was the Resident Lighting Designer for California Shakespeare Festival, as well as San Jose Repertory Theatre.  He was the Technical Director for the Magic Theatre in San Francisco for many years, and has designed many productions for commericial theatres in San Francisco.  His lighting designs for theatre have garnered 20 Bay Area Critics Awards and 5 Los Angeles Dramalogue Awards.
